Terms of use
Last updated 12 October 2026
Pressmark is operated by Popsall Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16953262), registered office 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@pressmark.org. These terms apply to anyone who uses pressmark.org ("you"). By using the service you accept them. If you use it on behalf of a business, you accept them for that business and confirm you may do so.
1. The service
Pressmark is a register of websites that sell sponsored content and other placements, with tools for buyers to ask publishers for prices (briefs and requests) and for publishers to answer them. Pressmark is not a party to, agent for or guarantor of any arrangement between a buyer and a publisher, and does not take commission on them.
We do not promise any particular number of briefs, requests, enquiries, offers, views, placements or results, or that any publisher or buyer will respond. We may add, change, suspend or withdraw features of the service, including free features, at any time.
2. Who it is for
Pressmark is for businesses, organisations and people acting for their trade, business or profession. You must be 18 or over to use it. If you use Pressmark as a consumer, you keep the rights consumer law gives you, and nothing in these terms affects them.
3. Accounts and claims
- You sign in with links sent to your email address. Keep access to that address secure; activity through your account is your responsibility.
- You may claim an entry only for a website you own or are authorised to manage, and must complete the ownership check honestly. We may ask for further proof at any time.
- We may refuse, pause or reverse a claim, including where ownership is disputed or a website changes hands, and may give control of an entry to whoever we reasonably believe manages the website.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. The register
Entries are compiled from publicly available information and from what publishers tell us. Prices, traffic estimates, formats and other details are indicative, may be incomplete or out of date, and are not an offer by us or by the publisher. An entry is not an endorsement or a recommendation.
We decide what appears on Pressmark and how: which websites are included, how entries are categorised, labelled, ordered, checked and displayed, and whether an entry, brief, offer or message is published, changed or removed. We may use automated tools to help with this. Website owners can claim their entry or ask for it to be removed through the removal form.
5. Your content
You are responsible for what you submit: entry details, briefs, offers, messages, images and anything else ("your content"). You confirm you have the right to submit it and that it is accurate, lawful and not misleading.
You keep ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, adapt (for example to fit a layout), display and share it to operate, improve and promote Pressmark, including showing briefs to relevant publishers, offers to the buyer concerned and entries to anyone who visits. This licence continues for as long as your content is on Pressmark and for a reasonable period afterwards (for example in backups and records).
We may review, edit for format, decline or remove any content, but we are not obliged to monitor it.
6. Dealing with each other
Buyers and publishers deal directly and on their own terms. Price, payment, content, delivery, tax and disputes are between them. Each party is responsible for complying with the law and rules that apply to them, including advertising and disclosure rules (such as labelling sponsored content) and search-engine guidelines on paid links. We do not check or guarantee compliance.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- submit anything unlawful, deceptive, infringing, harmful or in a category we choose not to serve;
- impersonate anyone, or claim or manage a website you are not entitled to;
- use briefs, requests, contact routes or messages to send spam or unsolicited marketing;
- copy, scrape, crawl or otherwise extract register data by automated means, other than search-engine indexing allowed by our robots.txt;
- interfere with, overload, probe or bypass the security of the service; or
- use Pressmark to buy or sell links intended to manipulate search rankings.
8. Our rights in the register
Pressmark, its design and the register as a whole belong to us. The register is a database in which we hold database right and copyright. You may view and use individual entries to find and contact publishers. You may not extract or re-use all or a substantial part of the register, including by repeatedly extracting small parts, or republish, sell or build it into another product or service, without our written permission.
Pressmark does not sell or imply search-ranking value. Links on Pressmark may carry attributes such as "nofollow" or "sponsored" at our discretion. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
9. Paid plans
This section applies when you buy a paid plan, placement or add-on, such as Pro or a Featured placement ("paid services"). The description and price shown when you buy form part of your agreement with us, together with these terms.
Prices and payment
- Prices are shown before you pay, in the currency stated. We are not currently registered for VAT, so none is added; if that changes, we will tell you before it affects a renewal. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to you.
- Payments are taken by our payment provider. By paying you authorise the charges for the plan you choose, including renewals for subscriptions.
- If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend or remove the paid service until it is paid.
Subscriptions
- Paid plans are subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; the paid service continues until the end of the period already paid for, and is not refunded for part periods except where the law requires.
- A paid plan covers the website it was bought for and cannot be moved to another website without our agreement.
- We may change the price of a subscription. We will tell you at least 30 days before the change applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then. A price we describe as locked, such as a founding price, does not change for as long as the subscription renews without a break.
- When a paid service ends, the entry returns to the free plan. Nothing is deleted, but features that come with the paid plan stop.
Featured placements
- A Featured placement gives an entry more prominent display in the places and for the period described when you buy. Where and how it appears may vary by page, device and layout, and it may be labelled as featured or sponsored.
- We do not guarantee views, enquiries, briefs or any other result from a placement.
- If we cannot provide a placement you have paid for, for reasons within our control, we will offer a credit or a refund for the part not provided.
Offers, founding prices and discounts
- Founding prices, discounts, trials and other offers are available at our discretion, may be limited in number or time, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time for purchases not yet made.
- An offer applies only to the purchase and term it describes. Unless it says otherwise, it cannot be combined with another offer, does not apply to past purchases, and renewals are charged at the price then current.
Changes to paid features
We improve and change Pressmark over time, and the features of a paid plan may change. If we make a change that substantially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will tell you, and if you are on a subscription you may cancel and receive a refund of any amount prepaid for the period after the change.
Cancellation rights and refunds
Paid services are sold for business use. If you buy as a consumer, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days; if you ask us to start the service during that time, we may deduct an amount for the service already provided. Otherwise, payments are not refundable except as these terms or the law require. Paid services end without refund if an entry is removed or an account is suspended for a breach of these terms.
10. Suspension and ending
You may stop using Pressmark at any time, and may remove your entry from your dashboard. We may suspend or end your access, or remove an entry or content, if we reasonably believe you have broken these terms, where the law requires, to protect users or the service, or if a website no longer meets our inclusion standards. We may also discontinue Pressmark or any part of it; where that affects a paid service with time left to run, section 9 applies.
11. Liability
- Pressmark is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that information on it is accurate or complete.
- We are not responsible for websites we link to, for the conduct or content of buyers or publishers, or for any arrangement between them.
- We are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, data or opportunity, or for indirect or consequential loss.
- Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of £100 and the amount you paid us in that period.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
- You will compensate us for claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your content, your dealings with other users, or your breach of these terms.
12. General
- Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Where a change materially affects a paid service you hold, we will tell you in advance. Continuing to use Pressmark after a change means you accept it.
- Notices. We may contact you at the email address on your account. You can contact us at hello@pressmark.org.
- Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- Transfer. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, for example if the service is sold. You may not transfer yours without our agreement.
- No partnership. Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship.
- Third parties. Only you and we may enforce these terms.
- Severability and waiver. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right straight away does not waive it.
- Entire agreement. These terms, with the purchase details of any paid service and our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us about Pressmark.
- Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings where you live.
